Description: | This place serves for submission of the Springer book "Towards Digital Intelligence Society: A Knowledge-based Approach" chapters' proposals. Humanity is now going through difficult times to fight the Covid-19 pandemic. At the same time, in these difficult times of physical separation, we can also realize how much digital society technology helps us to cope with this time. This book aims to provide readers with up-to-date knowledge on how to make these technologies smarter. We will focus on the knowledge aspects of a wide range of technologies like big data, the Internet of Things and cloud services. Intelligence as a service appears to be the main challenge towards weak artificial intelligence and a world of many connected machines, fast wireless connectivity and remote brain concepts. The purpose of machine intelligence has always been to improve the quality of human life. Various fields such as robotics, embodied and non-embodied systems and further can bring inspiration to applications useful for society. Digital Intelligence for Systems and Machines is a big challenge for mankind to benefit from. The envisaged book aims to cover selected topics from this domain, in particular: • Knowledge-based Systems for Digital Services • Intelligent Analysis of Big Data • Embodied and Non-Embodied Intelligence • Industry 4.0 Concepts and Principles for Intelligent Solutions • Cloud Services for Intelligent Solutions • Ontologies and Knowledge Representation • Intelligent Decision Support Systems • Machine Learning and its Applications in Digital Society • Intelligent a Cloud Robotics • Human-Robot (Computer) Interaction • Service and Social Robotics • Computational Intelligence Tools for Digital Services • Artificial Intelligence Supported by Cloud Computing • Explainable Artificial Intelligence Systems • Digital Intelligence for Cyber-Physical Systems • Digital Intelligence for the Internet of Things & Everything • Multidisciplinary Approaches to Intelligence Submission Procedure Potential authors are invited to submit a one-page abstract of the proposed chapter including the names and the affiliations of the authors (we encourage international teams of authors) and clearly identifying the main objectives of the proposed book chapter and expected main contributions. Potential authors of the book chapters should submit their proposals electronically via this system before May 30, 2020. Authors of the accepted proposals will be notified by June 15, 2020, and provided with detailed guidelines for the preparation of their book chapter proposal. Full book chapters are to be submitted via the Springer OCS system by July 14, 2020. All manuscripts will be thoroughly reviewed and authors of accepted book chapters will need to prepare their final versions reflecting the reviewers’ comments till September 22, 2020. |
