Name:Offshore Robotics (journal-like series)
Description:Book series on Offshore Robotics In this book series (journal-like, 4 volumes each year), we will solicit latest research results and technological reports on offshore robotics from all over the world. We hope to rapidly report and spread the latest technological results, novel scientific discoveries and valuable applications in the fields closely related to offshore robotics as well as promote international academic exchanges. This book series will provide a platform to present comprehensive works to wide audience for better knowledge sharing and dissemination. The audience of this book series will include scholars, researchers, engineers and students who are interested in autonomous marine vehicles and robotics, including surface, underwater, and deep sea, etc. We try to collect more manuscripts for regular and/or special issues to guarantee a steady flow of publications with high quality. We aim to make it one of the premier comprehensive academic publications of offshore vehicles and robotics. Topics of interest include but are not limited to: 1) Marine robotics scientific and technological discussion 2) Autonomous marine vehicle design, test and launch 3) Autonomous marine vehicle modeling, identification and simulation 4) Marine guidance, navigation and control 5) Marine robot visual servo, intelligence and autonomy 6) Situation awareness, collision avoidance and decision making 7) Multiple marine vehicles swarm intelligence, cooperation and optimization 8) Autonomous power management system 9) Safety in offshore robotics 10) Information systems in offshore robotics 11) AI in marine robotics 12) Education in offshore robotics In the first volume, we plan to solicit 6 or more survey/review papers on various advances in offshore robotics, e.g., autonomous underwater vehicles, remote operation vehicles, marine bionics, marine vehicle modeling, guidance, navigation, control and cooperation, etc. Submission Instructions:  Submissions should be closely relevant to the scope of this book series.  Submit your manuscript via Springer webpage (https://ocs.springer.com/misc/home/WOR2020) and follow the submission procedure.  Prior to sending out full paper submissions, it is highly recommended to query the appropriateness of submissions by sending a 100-200 words abstract to the Editors (n.wang@ieee.org).  Early submissions are welcome. We will start the review process as soon as we receive your contributions.
