Name:Advances in Econometrics, Operational Research, Data Science and Actuarial Studies Techniques and Theories.
Description:In collaboration with Springer, we are planning to publish a contributed volume with the title: Advances in Econometrics, Operational Research, Data Science and Actuarial Studies Techniques and Theories. We are welcoming international contributions to this volume, which is planned to be published in the Scopus-indexed book series Contributions to Economics This book project aims at introducing the mathematical/statistical and econometrical underpinnings of the main tools used in empirical economics within an effort to bridge the gap between analytic, closed-form methods, and numerical methods. Special emphasis will be given to four interrelated fields: econometrics, operational research, actuarial sciences, and data science as four sections. Each section is created to gain a profound and detailed understanding of advanced theory and methods, to know about the design, estimation, forecasting, and analysis of linear/nonlinear complex dynamic models, to raise awareness of evidence of asymptotic properties of estimators/test statistics and to understand the interplay between interrelated-field techniques and modeling assumptions both for advanced theoretical and practical applications that are used in the industries, bank/finance sectors, governments, think-tanks, and other sectors/institutes. Advanced methods and state-of-the-art models are used for forecasting and policy analysis in a wide range of applications in macroeconomics and finance (in focusing on the development and application of quantitative methods for analyzing economic and other issues at central/federal banks, government agencies/ministries, financial institutions, consultancy firms, companies traded on the stock exchange, etc.), operational research (in optimizing strategic and operational business processes like transport flows, stock management, operating systems, etc.), actuarial sciences ( in making a financial decision, due to an explosion in financial data, having an ability to apply software engineering and statistical understanding the industry, etc.) and data science ( in determining social media activity, mobile interactions, server logs, real-time market feeds, customer service records, transaction details, etc.)
